Bruce falls in sectional tennis finals at Herrin

Marion's Margaux Bruce suffered a straight set finals loss to Carbondale's Skylar Moore during Saturday's sectional in Herrin.
Moore beat Bruce 6-2 and then 6-1, this coming on the heels of Bruce advancing to the finals after scoring a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Herrin's Jaylan Blake.
On Friday, the Marion junior scored a pair for straight set victories, beating Benton's Molly Goostree (6-2, 6-1) and Mt. Vernon's Ali Benton (6-1, 6-1).
As a team, Marion finished in a. Three-way tie for 2nd place with Herrin and Benton.
