Smith shoots 77 to advance to 1A Sectionals

Hamilton County shot a 339 and West Frankfort followed with a 342 at Tuesday's IHSA Class 1A Regional at Franklin County Country Club and will be the two representing teams in next week's sectional.
Also competing were: Anna-Jonesboro (345), Zeigler-Royalton (361), Eldorado (362), Goreville (381),
Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (410), Vienna (442) and Johnston City (489).
The four individuals that will also be taking part in next Tuesday's sectional, back at Franklin County Country Club will be Goreville's A.J. Johnston, who shot a 76, while A-J's Luke Lasley and Eldorado's Noah Smith each fired a pair of 77's. Hardin County's Calen Banks and Zeigler-Royalton's Riley Cross both finished with a pair of 83's.
In addition to Smith's 77 for Eldorado, the Eagles got a 92 from Kaiden Lloyd and a 93 from Cannon Weatherly. Austin Willis fired a 100, Nick Stanford finished with a 101 and Zachary Stanford rounded
out the scoring with a 133.
