Athletic Directors from Black Diamond Conference schools met Friday in McLeansboro, with a decision for fall football games this upcoming spring.
Each BDC school will drop its Week 1 and Week 9 game, playing a seven-game schedule and essentially losing one home game and one away game.
"It made the most sense," Eldorado athletic director Greg Goodley said Friday night. "Now, we're still going to have some issues to work out, mainly finding officials, which is going to be tough."
Goodley noted that there is a high probability for games to be played on Friday nights and during the day Saturday this spring.
"We're going to be able to use both of those days to find officials," Goodley said.
Under the new Return To Play guidelines issued Wednesday by the IHSA and the IDPH, football season will start February 15 and end May 1st
The first football game in the Black Diamond Conference will be March 5th.
