ESPN released a list on Sunday and in what has become a common practice, John A. Logan College -- and one of its players -- were at the top.
The World Wide Leader In Sports put out a list of college basketball transfer rankings for 2020-21 and 2021-22. There were four branches of the list: Graduate transfers eligible immediately, Spring sit-outs eligible in 2021-22, Eligible at 2020-21 semester break and sit-outs eligible in 2020-21.
John A. Logan's Mario McKinney makes the "Midyear transfers eligible at 2020-21 semester break" list coming in at No. 9.
McKinney, who played seven games at Missouri was a four-star recruit coming out of high school. For the Tigers, he averaged 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound shooting guard from (Vashon High School) St. Louis, Mo., was the No. 2 player out of the Show Me State.
McKinney joins fellow St. Louis native Isaiah Ervin on this year's squad, along with another guard Teon Nesbitt and Justin Johnson, along with, big men Sydney Curry and Jamarion Sharp.
Three newcomers, Dre Boyd of Bowling Green Ky., along with local products, Dawson Yates and Jackson Connor round out head coach Kyle Smithpeters' current roster.
