Harrisburg takes home third from Rangerettes Christmas Classic

Harrisburg rebounded from its semifinal loss to Benton to beat Mt. Vernon 53-49 to earn third place at the Rangerettes Christmas Classic.
Harrisburg (16-2) got a game-high 21 points from Lauren McDaniel, while Lydia Miller, who made the All-Tournament Team, tossed in 11 in the win.
Summer Sanders added eight points, while Essence Sanders and Stream Black each finished with four points a piece. Lauryn Gribble and Gabby Adams both tossed in two points, while Mya King finished with a free throw.
Mt. Vernon put two players in double figures and it was Harrisburg's second win over Mt. Vernon, beating the Rams 63-41 at home back on November 21.
Benton 38, Harrisburg 21
Benton outscored Harrisburg 28-8 in the second half and beat the Bulldogs 38-21 in the semifinals Monday night.
Harrisburg, who suffered only its second loss of the season in their first 15 games, got seven points from Summer Sanders and another six points from Lydia Miller. Essence Sanders finished with four points, while Stream Black and Lauren McDaniel each had two points.
Harrisburg 45, Sesser Valier 30
Summer Sanders had a game-high 19 points and Lauren McDaniel finished in double figures with 10 points as Harrisburg earned a 45-30 victory over Sesser-Valier
Lydia Miller added eight points, while Essence Sanders finished with five points. Stream Black tossed in two points and Gabby Adams tossed in a free throw.
Harrisburg 60, Meridian 20
Harrisburg got a game-high 16 points from Stream Black and nine other Bulldogs scored in a 60-20 win over Meridian to open the Benton Holiday Tournament over the weekend.
Lydia Miller added eight points, while Essence Sanders and Kailyn Moss each scored seven points. Lauryn Gribble scored six points, while Gabby Adams finished with five points. Summer Sanders flushed down four points, while Mya King tacked on three points. Molly Shires and Lexie Williams each had two points for Harrisburg.
