The Harrisburg volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a three-game win over Anna-Jonesboro.
The Bulldogs won the first match 25-22, before falling 21-25 in match two and took match three, 25-21.
"The athletic ability has been their all season but the intensity and willingness to lay it all on the line has been a struggle," Harrisburg head coach Heather Cox said. "Our girls lack confidence which comes with young players sometimes.  Having one lone senior can be a struggle.  The experience that our younger kids got this year at the varsity level, however, is very valuable.  We started 3 juniors, 1 senior and 2 sophomores this year."
The Harrisburg junior varsity squad also won in three sets and finished 5-11 on the year.
"The JV bench is a large one and each and every young lady contributed to the cause," Cox added. "Working out a consistent line up with JV is always a challenge, but seeing their improvement is a positive for next year."
The freshmen volleyball team finished 10-5 after a three-set win over Anna-Jonesboro as well.
"We started the season with only eight freshmen and by the end we were down to six due to an injury and a player quitting. Those six though, showed some heart and grit," Cox said. "Each game they pushed themselves and got better.  Only getting three wins last year as 8th graders, these young ladies stepped up the competition and stepped up their play.  We are super proud of them and look forward to their next three years.
The varsity squad, who finished the regular season at 5-21, was scheduled to square off against Eldorado Monday night in the Hamilton County Regional.
