The Harrisburg High School girls' bowling team finished sixth out of 24 teams at this past weekend's Collinsville Invitational at Camelot Bowl.
Elizabeth Davis led the Bulldogs with 1329 for the six games, a 221 average. Davis was supported by Claire McDermott with 1235 and Keely Reed at 1180.
"This was a good outing for us to get the season going," HHS head coach Doug Cottom said. "We were a little short handed with a couple of starters missing so all-in-all we played really well. Elizabeth finished second overall just missing the top spot by 20 pins and Claire was solid until the last two games or she would have been near the lead as well. Keely converted almost every spare she shot at which was very impressive."
The Harrisburg boys and girls are back in action Friday at Marion, while the boys' team hosts the Bulldog Invitational Saturday at Ross Cottom Lanes."
