Carol Ann Jackson, 77, of Marion, Illinois and formerly of McLeansboro, Illinois, passed away at 11:53 p.m. on Friday, July 07, 2022, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.

Mrs. Jackson was born on Nov. 23, 1944 in Morocco, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbur H. and Dorothea A. (Potts) Lade who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were the husband she was married to for 43 years, L.B. Jackson; her son, Larry L. Jackson; her three brothers, Dennis E. Lade, Dale W. Lade and Lee Roy Lade; her sister, Mary J. Hull; her sisters-in-law, Glenda Hull and Elaine Lade; her son-in-law, Don Hartley; grandson, Larry L. Jackson Jr. and great-granddaughters, Isabela Castillo and Abbigail N. Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson was employed as a cook on the Mississippi River boat barge, Allen Waste in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and she babysat for many years.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by seven children, Patty Evrard (husband Myron) of Marion, Illinois, Dorothy Woolard (husband Stephen) of Marion, Betty Hartley of Eldorado, Illinois, Janie Douglas (husband Gary) of Eldorado, Jim Jackson (wife Erin) of Orlando, Florida, L.B. Jackson Jr. (wife Angel) of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and Johnny Jackson (wife Lisa) of Murphysboro, Illinois; brothers and sisters, Danny Lade (wife Linda) of Branson, Missouri, Terry Lade (wife Wanda) of Cedar Park, Texas and Karen Lade of Donovan, Illinois; 28 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, Illinois, with the funeral immediately following at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, Illinois.
