Deloris "Dee" Piche Berkebile, nee Bichel, 82, of Belleville, Illinois, born July 7, 1939, in Nadeau, Michigan, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Mrs. Berkebile was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Belleville and in Harrisburg, Illinois. She was a volunteer at the Nice Twice Resale Shop in Belleville. She enjoyed her card clubs, sewing and crocheting and especially enjoyed traveling.

Dee was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Lloyd Piche; her second husband, Ralph L. Berkebile; her parents, Spencer John and Bernice (nee Perras) Bichel; and a brother, Spencer Bichel.

Surviving are three sons, Larry (Julie) Piche of Harrisburg, David (Robyn) Piche of Marion and Chris (Kelly) Piche of Edwardsville, IL; a daughter, Michele (Ken Leiser) Puntriano of St. James, Missouri; six grandchildren, Garrick (Abby) Piche, Kelsey (Dallas Robinson) Piche, Whitney (Matthew) Onysio, Aaron Puntriano, Kara Puntriano and Kate Piche; two great-grandchildren, Indigo Piche and Rush Robinson; a brother, Jerome Bichel; a sister, Evelyn (Bill) Morton; a sister-in-law, Marty Bichel; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Mary's Catholic Church, in either Belleville or Harrisburg. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Belleville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, also at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Belleville, with Fr. Michael Arockiam and Fr. Christopher Anyanwu concelebrating.

Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
