Rebecca Riggs, 80, of Carrier Mills, Illinois, died at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab Center. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Felty Funeral Home is assisting the family with the details.
Rebecca was born on Dec. 19, 1940 in Rosiclare, Illinois, to the late Preston and Fatie (Ford) Millikan. She married Joseph Riggs Sr. on Oct. 2, 1955 and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Joe Riggs Jr. of Harrisburg, Illinois; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Riggs Sr.; her daughter, Wilma Brown; two sons, Leon Riggs and Willis Riggs; four brothers, Calvin Millikan, Elmer Millikan, Herschel Millikan and William J. Millikan; and three sisters, Mary Potts, Bertie Bebout and Elizabeth Bebout.
