Anthony "Tony" Fritts, 48, of Carrier Mills, Illinois, died at 3:22 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021 at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, with the Rev. Jonathon Stevens officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the funeral home to help with expenses. Felty Funeral Home is assisting the family with the details.
Tony was born on Jan. 4, 1973 in Eldorado, Illinois to the late Robert R. Fritts and Shirley (Stricklin) Miller.
He married the former Lisa Dunn on Feb. 23, 2001 and she survives.
Tony was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church in Carrier Mills, and was attending the Living Hope Church in Carrier Mills.
He loved to go fishing.
Tony is survived by his wife, Lisa Fritts of Carrier Mills; two sisters, Tammy (Scott) Segler of Carrier Mills and Julie (Bobby) Sherfield of Stonefort, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Michelle) Segler, Krystale (Fransico) Lorenzo and Michael (Jensin) Segler; and great-nieces and nephews, Addison Lorenzo, Greigh Lorenzo, Jase Segler, Ty Segler, Lane Segler, Anniston Segler and Colter Segler.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Terry Fritts and his stepfather, Thomas Miller.
