Matthew Thomas Stowers, 37, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at his residence.
Matthew had worked as a coal miner. He was born March 6, 1984 at West Frankfort, Illinois, the son of Frank James and Rhonda (Buschschulte) Stowers.
He is survived by his son, Ethan Stowers of Du Quoin; his mother, Rhonda (husband Chris) Ryan of Pinckneyville; and sister Ashley Dawn Wininger of Elkville.
Matthew was preceded in death by his father.
Per Matthew's request cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no public visitation or funeral at this time. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The Searby Funeral Home website will be updated when the service is set.
Friends may make memorials to the family.
