Sheila Maureen Dewar of Du Quoin passed away peacefully at 8:40 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Eldorado Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Sheila was born in Benton on June 24, 1955, the daughter of Margie (West) and Noble Risley Sr. She worked as the activity director of local area nursing homes. Sheila loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Walker and Heather Dawn Gonzalez; five grandchildren, Jacob and Reece Melvin, Taylor Reece, Jesse Potts and Bailey Gonzalez; five great-grandchildren whom she adored; her brother Jerry Risley and two sisters, Sharon Kay Benedict and Susan Zettler.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Terry, Larry and Noble Risley Jr.
As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held at this time. Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
