Robert E. Jensik Jr., age 56, of Carrier Mills, passed away at 10:58 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 in the Harrisburg Medical Center.
Robert was born on Jan. 10, 1964 in Berwyn, Illinois to Robert E. Jensik Sr. and Dorothy Hancock. He was Baptist by faith. On Nov. 10, 1984 in Harrisburg he was united in marriage to the former Kimberly A. Brazell.
He served two enlistments in the U.S. Army. He retired as a criminal investigator for the Department of Navy after 28 years of service. Robert was a member of the Blue Knights and the Marion Oshel Post of the American Legion in Carrier Mills.
Robert is survived by his wife, Kimberly; his mother, Dorothy Jensik of Carrier Mills; a brother, William (Trudy) Jensik of Carrier Mills; uncles Fred, George and Ernie Hutson and John Hancock; an aunt, Adrienne Wehrle; a sister-in-law, Becky (Jerry) Weiss; brother-in-law, Anthony Brazell; and mother-in-law, Sandra Brazell.
Robert was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6 2021 in the Salem Cemetery In Carrier Mills. The Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate and burial will follow with military rites. Those attending the graveside should gather at the cemetery.
Memorials in Robert's memory should be directed to Southern Illinois Honor Flight. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
