Charles Droit, 67, of Galatia, passed at 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Droit will officiate.
Charles was born on Aug. 10, 1953 in Harrisburg to the late Paul and Elva (Milligan) Droit.
He married the former Dee Dee Headrick on Sept. 22, 1973 and she survives.
Charles worked as a truck driver and mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed photography, fishing and playing the guitar. What he loved the most was his grandchildren and teaching a few of them how to play the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Dee Droit of Galatia; son, Bill (Beth) Droit of Galatia; daughter, Julie (Gordon) Murray of Harrisburg; sister, Phyllis (Jim) Peyton of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Lindsey (Austin) Garrett of West Virginia, Christian Murray of Harrisburg, Austin Droit, Kaylee (Ryan) Busenius and Gabriel Droit, all of Oklahoma; great-grandchild, Addison Busenius of Oklahoma; three brothers-in-law, David Headrick, Rick Headrick and Kevin Headrick; and five sisters-in-law, Jeannie Vickers, Della Horton, Carolyn Dunning, Elaine Horton and Sharon Goodman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Bill Headrick; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Smith and Donna Miller.
