Wilma Brown, 58, of Harrisburg died at 1:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. The Rev. Ownly Williams will officiate.
Wilma was born on Nov. 21, 1961 in Harrisburg to the late Joseph Riggs and Rebecca (Millikan) Riggs, who survives.
Wilma married Ronnie Brown on March 6, 2007 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2009.
Wilma was employed as a registered nurse for the past 28 years at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She is survived by her son, Chris Cantrell and partner Emmanuel Leonardo of St. Louis; mother, Rebecca Riggs of Carrier Mills; two brothers, Joe Riggs of Harrisburg and Willis (Debbie) Riggs of Shawneetown; stepson, Jason Brown of Carterville; best friends, Cathy Haney, Carrie Clevenger, Angie Quinn, Robin Hyers, Megan Mitchell and many others from Harrisburg Medical Center; and also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Riggs; brother, William Leon Riggs; and her canine babies, Daisy and Duke.
