Wanda L. Jones, 91, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at the Fairview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Du Quoin.
Wanda worked for several years as a supervisor at the Du Quoin Packing Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.
She was born Jan. 7, 1928, at West Frankfort, the daughter of Harvey and Lulu Belle (Williams) Niebel.
Wanda married Clarence Roy Jones on Jan. 28, 1965, at Pinckneyville, and he passed away June 17, 2011.
She is survived by six children, Carolyn Anderson of Freeburg, Carla Donaldson of Decatur, Roy Jones of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Paul Jones of Du Quoin, Faye Bathon of Mt. Vernon and Faith Jones of Springfield; two brothers, Don Niebel of Mt. Vernon and Kenny Niebel of Texas; two sisters, Mary Jane Hoage of Benton and Karen Edwards of West Frankfort; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Fred and Charles; sister Wilma; and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with the Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service, at the Searby Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, which will be accepted at the funeral home.
