Billie Joyce Foster Densch, age 88 of Harrisburg, passed Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her home.

Billie was born Jan. 5, 1931 and lived in Muddy as a child. She was married June 18, 1948 to Charles F. Densch. She was an assistant manager of Sears in Harrisburg.

She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisburg.

Billie is survived by four children, daughter, Joyce Ann (Dick) Reed of Providence, Kentucky; son Fred (Janice) Densch of Eldorado; daughter Linda Beth Mitacek of Harrisburg; son Louis "Boco" Densch and wife Debbie of Eldorado; and sister and brother-in-law, Earl and Dawna Robb of St. Charles, Missouri.

Surviving grandchildren are Charles R. (Christina) Reed of Alton, Illinois; Karl (Nicki) Densch III of Eldorado; Brian (Amber) Densch of Harrisburg; Sarah Mitacek (fiancé John Franta) of Chicago; Tim (Beth) Mitacek of Harrisburg; Amanda Densch of Eldorado; and Nathan (Meghan) Densch of Norris City, Illinois.

Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, Louis and Sadie Foster; sister-in-law, Karleen Densch Tucker and brother-in-law George Tucker; sister-in-law Louise Densch Moore and brother-in-law Parson Moore and son-in-law, Timothy J. Mitacek.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Pastor Ron George of the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg will officiate. Burial will follow at Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
