HARRISBURG -- Marylu Adamson, 89, passed away at 10:42 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, in The Villas of Holly Brook in Harrisburg.

She was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Johnston City to the late Louis and Lula Perschbacher. In 1960, she married Bruce Adamson, and he preceded her in death in 1992.

Marylu was a member of the National and Active Retired Federal Employees and Harrisburg Friends of the Library.

Survivors include her brother, P.J. Perschbacher of Johnston City; nephew, Eric Perschbacher of Herrin; niece, Christy Perschbacher of Du Quoin; great-nephew, Christopher Hottes of Du Quoin; great-nephew, Toby Hottes of Du Quoin; niece, Misty Perschbacher of Du Quoin; great-nephew, Brendan Perschbacher of Du Quoin; great-niece, Isabel Perschbacher of Du Quoin; and nephew, Jerry Perschbacher of Johnston City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Mildred P. Gavel; and three brothers, Paul Perschbacher, Charles Perschbacher and William Perschbacher.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Kevin Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Harrisburg Friends of the Library or Golden Circle Meals on Wheels. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
