Louise Dunlap of Du Quoin

Louise Dunlap, 96, of Du Quoin went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 5:52 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin with her daughter at her side.
Louise was a homemaker. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church. She was born Sept. 18, 1921, in Hurst, the daughter of James and Pauline (Garavaglia) Rocassi. She married Samuel Irvin Dunlap Aug. 16, 1943, in Perryville, Mo., and he preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1992. She is survived by one daughter, Paula Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Jane Dunlap; and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin with Bro. Gary Pruitt officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Du Quoin. Friends may make memorials to the Elkville Christian Church, and they will be accepted at the funeral home. Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin is in charge of arrangements.
