HARRISBURG -- Naomi Ruth Tolbert, 76, died at 3:27 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
She has been cremated, and there will be no services.
She was born Feb. 5, 1941, in Harrisburg to the late Harry and Hazel (Prather) Mallady. She married James Tolbert Sr. on Oct. 6, 1972, and he preceded her in death Dec. 6, 2015.
Survivors include her son, Randy Smith of New Haven; sister, Betty Brannum of Eldorado; several grandchildren, including Allie Denton of Harrisburg, Brandon Smith of Grand Rapids, Colorado, and Matthew Smith of Carmi; nephew, Kenneth Walters of Galatia; and stepson, James Tolbert Jr. of Carrier Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ricky Smith; four sisters; and three brothers.
Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.
