HARRISBURG -- Myra Joanne Parrish, 80, formerly of Eldorado, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in Evansville, Indiana.

Myra was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Claremont to Grover and Leah (Heckler) Jones.

She married John Parrish on Dec. 19, 1959, and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1999.

Myra was a member of Harrisburg First Christian Church, where she was an active member serving in the card ministry.

She also was an active member of Saline County Retired Teachers Association, where she served as recording secretary.

Survivors include her children, Christi (Ismael) Gonzales of Glendale Heights and Clay Parrish of Orlando, Florida; daughter-in-law, Diane Parrish of Gainesville, Florida; three grandchildren, Natalie Parrish, Drew Parrish and Leah Gonzales; two great-grandchildren, Gage Parrish and Landon Parrish; and two brothers, Ken (Kay) Jones of Collinsville and Robert (Gretchen) Jones of Chico, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Myrna Howard.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, in Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Biff Moore officiating. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
