BENTON --Jennifer Lynn (Ellis) Miller, 54, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at her home.
A memorial celebration of life service and visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Benton Elks Lodge, 167 Industrial Park Road, in Benton.
Leffler Funeral Home in Benton is in charge of arrangements.
Jennifer was born Sept. 24, 1962, in San Diego, California, the daughter of James and Janet (Adams) Stearns. She married Jack A. Miller on Dec. 10, 1981, and he survives.
She graduated from Benton Consolidated High School with the class of 1980.
Jennifer worked as a janitor with both St. Joseph Catholic Church and First Baptist Church of Benton. She also cleaned houses for many Benton residents.
She was a member of Steel City Missionary Baptist Church of Benton.
Jennifer loved to garden, but most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed dressing her granddaughters as little princesses.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jack A. Miller Sr. of Benton; three children, Jessica Miller of Marion, Jack A. Miller Jr. and wife Heather of West Frankfort and Jasmin Teel and husband Shawn of Benton; four grandchildren who she loved dearly, Jacynda and Jordan Gibbs and Jeremiah and Jaxson Miller; sister, Jamie Ellis of Benton; brother, Jim Stearns and wife Terri of Ocala, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for her two granddaughters, Jacynda and Jordan Gibbs, through MidCountry Bank in Benton.
