The Rend Lake College Foundation Children's Center has earned the ExceleRate Illinois Gold Circle of Quality designation.
The Gold Circle of Quality recognizes programs that have demonstrated quality on all fifteen standards, as validated by a state-approved assessor. Gold Circle programs meet or exceed specific quality benchmarks on learning environment, instructional quality, and all program administrative standards; group size and staff/child ratios; staff qualifications; and professional development.
"The Rend Lake College Foundation Children's Center's goal in maintaining the ExceleRate Illinois Gold Circle of Quality is to provide Rend Lake College students and the community we serve with the highest quality standards of early childhood programming." Children's Center Director Christy Jean said. "By achieving the Gold Circle of Quality, our team demonstrates that we provide a quality early learning environment, teacher-child interactions, and an inclusive program that benefits children and the families served.
"Our team demonstrates and continues to strive toward excellence by maintaining eligibility requirements to ensure quality care is our top priority. To maintain the ExceleRate Illinois Gold Circle of Quality, our team must submit a yearly report to be assessed and then reapply for eligibility through an assessment process after three years to guarantee we are continuing quality care. The entire team at the Children's Center puts in a daily effort to reach and maintain this achievement, and we are extremely proud of ourselves."
