Carbondale Branch NAACP attends national convention

Carbondale Branch NAACP members Linda Flowers, Carl Flowers and Ella Lacey represented the branch at the recent 113th national convention in Atlantic City, N.J. Three resolutions submitted by the Carbondale Branch were unanimously approved by the convention delegates, including the Crown Act, which creates a respectful and open workplace for natural hair; permanent punishments; and anti-racism K-12 education.
