Chester Women's Club hosts its prayer breakfast

The Chester Women's Club hosted its annual Maundy Thursday Prayer Breakfast at Reids' Harvest House restaurant April 14.

A large crowd of members and guests attended and enjoyed a buffet breakfast.

The planning committee included Norma Baughman and Pam Sheely, co-chairmen; Toni Hosick, Lois Tindall and Mary Ann Stumpe. President Christine Bowles officiated and welcomed the group.

Guest speaker Pastor James Oppedahl of the First United Methodist Church in Chester gave a Maundy Thursday messaged titled "His Time Had Come."

At the conclusion of the event, decorative spring wreaths were won by Paula Platt, Pam Sheely, Joan Montroy, Cynthia Lawder, Joyce McGee, Chris Bowles, Donna Clendenin, Danae Massey and Kim Wheeler.
