Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant opened its doors at 106 W. Stacey St. in Chester on Jan. 19.

Situated in the middle of uptown Chester, Los Amigos offers a wide Mexican menu, along with a variety of Mexican bakery items, such as churros with Nutella, three milk cake, flan, cheesecake and Mexican bread (served on Tuesdays).

The establishment, owned by husband and wife Juan Huerta Alonso and Ernestina Muinoz Villegas, is truly a family affair.

The Chester Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, March 3, at the restaurant. Several of the couple's family members were present for the festivities.

Chamber of Commerce President Bob Welker extended his welcome to the family and wished them good luck in their business endeavors.
