MARION -- When you get to make a living doing what you love, success is usually inevitable. But when you put together three musicians who all fit that category, the result is a group that is leaving its mark on the Country Music scene, and they'll be making an appearance on the Marion Cultural and Civic Center stage on Jan. 22.

The Frontmen features the dynamic voices of 90s country legends Richie McDonald (formerly of Lonestar), Larry Stewart (of Restless Heart) and Tim Rushlow (formerly of Little Texas).

The trio has been performing as the group off and on for about 11 years, according to Stewart, who said the idea was born in Baton Rouge over a cup of coffee.

That idea has been a winner for the three who have collectively opened for Country greats like Alabama, Hank Williams, Jr., Reba McIntyre, Vince Gill, and Alan Jackson.

"We watched country music take this country over," said Steward.

Stewart, Rushlow and McDonald have collectively sold over 30 million records and had over 30 major hits between them.

They have a chemistry and brotherhood seldom matched and they have logged the travel miles to prove it, wowing audiences around the globe with their brand of highly successful intimate unplugged shows.

Stewart said they usually do about 30-40 shows a year. They've played overseas, performing for the U.S. military troops, which Stewart says are experiences that "blew us away."

They are expanding this year's schedule and have plans to record some original songs in Nashville later this month.

Stewart says they're looking forward to performing at the MCCC.
