More than two dozen kids and parents turned out Saturday, Dec. 11, for a bit of Christmas magic at the Steeleville Public Library's Polar Express event.
Pajama-clad attendees started their adventure by picking up train tickets at a special train station before settling in for a "Polar Express" story time, followed by writing and mailing letters to Santa via the library's North Pole mailbox.
Mr. Claus himself even showed up in person to hand out sleigh bells that will always ring for those who truly believe.
The event ended with hot cocoa and "The Polar Express" movie in the train car movie theater.
In all, 24 children, two teens, and 13 parents attended.
