Randolph County Sheriff's detectives arrested Gary D. Poenitske, 51, of Steeleville Dec. 8 on charges of possession of child pornography, according to Sheriff Shannon Wolff.
Wolff says the arrest is part of an ongoing investigation.
"It is still too early to release details, as the scope of this case is in many ways still unknown."
Poenitske was released after posting $3,000 cash bond.
