Church open as part of tour
Immaculate Conception Church, 205 First St., in Kaskaskia, will be open as part of the Perry County Country Church Christmas Tour Thursday and Friday, Dec. 16 and 17. Visitors are welcome to stop in between 2 to 8 p.m. to tour the church.
City sets 2022 meeting schedules
The Chester city council will meet on the following dates in 2022 at the municipal building, 1330 Swanwick St. All meetings are at 6 p.m. Mondays unless otherwise noted: Jan. 3. Jan. 18 (Tuesday), Feb. 7, Feb. 22 (Tuesday), March 7, March 21, April 4, April 18, May 2, May, 16, June 6, June 20, July 5 (Tuesday), July 18, Aug. 1, Aug. 15, Sept. 6 (Tuesday), Sept. 19, Oct. 3, Oct. 17, Nov. 7, Nov. 21, Dec. 5 and Dec. 19.
The Cemetery and Finance Committee will meet on the same dates at 5:30 p.m.
Randolph County meeting schedule
The Randolph County Board of Commissioners has announced its first-quarter 2022 meeting dates: They are: Jan. 7, Jan. 21, Feb. 4, Feb. 18, March 4 and March 18.
