Mildred C. Haberman, 91, of Sedgewickville, Missouri and formerly of Steeleville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at Independence Care Center in Perryville, Missouri.

Mildred was born on Sept. 20, 1930, in Steeleville to Sigmund and Nelda Rabe Ruebke. She married Paul Haberman on Nov. 25, 1950, in Steeleville, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2017.

Mildred was a laborer and worked in a shoe factory. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bremen, Illinois and was involved in various church organizations, Quilting Circle and Ladies Aid.

Mildred is survived by her children, Willard (Crystal) Haberman of Sedgewickville, Missouri and Linda Rellergert of Perryville, Missouri; and one grandson, Steven Rellergert.

Besides her husband, Mildred is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hugo and Omer Ruebke; and one stepsister, Estman Meyerhoff.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville, with Lay Pastor Charles Mangles officiating.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, and from 9:30-11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Wilson's Funeral Home in Steeleville. Due to the pandemic executive order, face masks must be worn inside the funeral home and social guidelines must be followed.
