Panther musicians wrap up Band Camp

Pinckneyville High School's Marching Panthers and Marching Junior Panthers finished their week of Band Camp last Friday morning by performing a run-through of their fall marching season songs for parents, families, and the community.

The PJHS Marching Junior Panthers, with first-year director Ellen Filkins, performed their song "Crazy Train." The PCHS Marching Panthers, with Director of Bands Ms. Amber Nichols, presented their Rock Classics-themed show that includes "Paint It Black," "Shambala," "Old Time Rock 'n Roll," and "Dream On."

The PCHS Marching Panthers will perform at the following events this fall: Murphysboro Apple Festival Parade and Drums at Appletime Field Show on Sept. 18; Music in Motion at SIU-C on Oct. 2; Bi-State Music Festival at Potosi, Missouri on Oct. 9, and Pinckneyville's Mardi Gras Field Show and Parade on Oct. 30.

The Marching Junior Panthers are scheduled for the Apple Festival Parade and the Mardi Gras Parade.
