SIH gives $50K to Boys and Girls Club of Southern Illinois

Marion Mayor Mike Absher addresses those gathered at the new Marion location of the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Illinois on Thursday afternoon. The SIH Community Benefits presented the organization with a $50,000 donation as part of ongoing support of community-health improvement initiatives in Southern Illinois. The funds are earmarked for the Fine Arts Center within the new location at 2706 W. Main Street. The Marion Republican will have more about how the funds will be used for the new center in our Tuesday publication.
