MAKANDA -- Specialized Equine Services and Therapeutic Riding is looking for volunteers to assist riders at its facility at the Giant City Stables in Makanda.
Volunteers are needed on Mondays during the day and on Wednesdays and Thursdays after school into the early evening.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and able to walk beside a horse and assist the rider.
The next training/orientation session is scheduled for April 2 at 5 p.m. at the Giant City Stables.
