MARION -- The Marion Police Department is seeking the public's help to solve a home invasion that occurred last week.
On April 3 at approximately 3:30 a.m., the MPD responded to the area of North Granite and West Stockton streets to reports of a home invasion.
Upon arrival, MPD officers spoke to a female victim who described a male suspect she did not know who entered her residence through an open window.
According to a media release from the MPD, the male was armed with a knife and threatened to physically harm the victim.
The MPD reported that the victim was physically harmed but did not require hospitalization.
MPD officers are looking for information from anyone who might have noticed suspicious persons or vehicles in the area where the crime was reported specifically from 11 p.m. on April 2 to 4 a.m. on April 3.
The MPD is also seeking video surveillance that recorded vehicles or pedestrians during that time.
