WILLIAMSON COUNTY -- With the ink barely dry on the ballots from Tuesday, a group of Williamson County Republicans has announced its slate of candidates for the March 15, 2022 Primary election.

Party chairman Jeff Diederich, announced the slate of county candidates in a media release as well as on his Facebook page.

In the release, Diederich said that the Williamson County Republican Party welcomes anyone who has a desire to seek public office.

"It is through fair and free elections that primary elections afford our citizens the best candidates we have to offer," he said.

On the ticket for 2022 are incumbents Ashley Gott, Treasurer, Lorie LeQuatte, Regional Superintendent, Amanda Barnes, County Clerk, Steven Bost, Circuit Judge, At-Large, and Justin Maze, Circuit Clerk. Diederich will seek election to the office of Williamson County Sheriff.

The candidate for the County Commissioner slot will be announced once that person has completed his/her current employment obligations.
