MARION -- Heartland Regional Medical Center in partnership with St. Louis Children's Hospital, will host a mobile hearing and speech clinic on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
The mobile clinic, staffed by audiologists and speech pathologists from St. Louis Children's Hospital, will provide pediatric hearing and speech services to children in need throughout southern Illinois.
The 44-foot-long mobile unit features three patient areas: a multipurpose room, a patient intake and hearing device programming areas as well as a double-walled sound booth.
The mobile unit serves children from birth to 21 years old, who require audiological follow-up after failed or missed hearing screenings, or when hearing concerns are noted.
