Jerry Gogue Sr., 77, of Carrier Mills, died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 at his residence.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. The Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate.
Jerry was born on Nov. 12, 1943 in Saline County near the Brushy community, to the late Charles and Ruby (Hall) Gogue.
He married the former Annarose "Annie" Crain on May 23, 1964 and she preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 2020.
Jerry retired from the Carrier Mills Water Department, where he worked for many years and retired as superintendent. He was previously employed by Pepsi-Cola and had driven a vending route for his brother. Jerry also owned and operated Jerry's Mower Service for many years.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Gogue Jr. of Carrier Mills; his daughter and her fiancé, Kim Gogue and Johnny Taylor of Murphysboro; a brother, Kenneth Gogue of Samford, Florida; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Annarose "Annie" Gogue.
