The Gold Plate program of Perry County in Du Quoin is producing hot meals Monday through Friday (closed on holidays) during the pandemic. People able to pick them up can come between 10 a.m. and noon at 721 N. Hickory. Suggested donation for seniors is $3.50. Those under 60 are asked to pay $6.50.

Meanwhile, people who need the meals delivered to their homes will receive one hot meal and four frozen meals every Monday, to last through the week. Call (618) 542-3511 to order at-home delivery.

Gold Plate's Adult Day Service and meal sites are closed.

Dec. 4-11

• Friday, Dec. 4: cod fish on bun; baked beans; chips; tomatoes; ice cream; fruit.

• Monday, Dec. 7: Turkey & noodles; coleslaw; peas; cottage cheese; peaches.

• Tuesday, Dec. 8: Biscuit with sausage patty and milk gravy; hash browns; black-eyed peas; apple crisp.

• Wednesday, Dec. 9: Beef stew; cornbread; pickled beets; coleslaw; Ambrosia.

• Thursday, Dec. 10: Taco salad with onion, lettuce, tomato, salsa and sour cream; refried beans; seasoned rice; watermelon.

• Friday, Dec. 11: Chicken tenders; baked beans; macaroni salad; green beans; ice cream; fruit.
