Remm honored for service to Benton Rotary

  • Hilary Remm receives a Past President's pin from Benton Rotary Club member Ken Burzynski. Remm made history for the 98-year-old service club by becoming its first woman president. During her presidency, the club saw an increase in membership, but it also saw the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought new concerns about how to keep members safe but still in touch. Remm saw the need for an increase in funding for the Benton/West City Ministerial Alliance, donations to the Benton Public Library for landscaping in the new 'reading garden,' and the Benton Rotary Scholarship and award to Benton senior Mia McLain. The new president of the Benton Rotary Club is Jason Corn.
