The following incidents were obtained from the Benton Police Department. Note that arrests, charges and citations are allegations only, not findings of guilt.
August 6
• Police arrested Paul L. Barnfield, 44, of Benton around 9:35 a.m. on an active Perry County warrant for failure to appear. Barnfield was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
• Police arrested Nicholas L. Andrews, 40, of Benton around 1:45 p.m. on an active Franklin County warrant for failure to appear. Andrews was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
August 7
• Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Center Street around 2 p.m. in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, police arrested Jeremiah L. Phillips, 21, of Thompsonville on a charge of domestic battery. Phillips was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
August 8
• Police were dispatched around 2 a.m. to the 200 block of North Buchanan in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, police arrested Jennifer M. Rumsey-Harbour, 41, of Benton on a charge of domestic battery. Harbour was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
August 13
• Police were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. to the 200 block of South Ninth Street in reference to domestic battery. Upon investigating, police arrested Dwight E. Vaughn, 36, of Royalton on a charge of domestic battery. Vaughn was transported to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
