CARRIER MILLS -- These Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School juniors were named Student of the Year Award winners: Leia Bryant (Carl Friedrich Gauss Math Award), Faith Vinson (J.D. Salinger Literature Award), Gabbie Roberts (Stephen Hawking Science Award) and Jeremy Choat (Amelia Earhart History Award).
Along with the Junior Student of the Year in Math, Leia Bryant was also the Thomas Edison Science Student of the 1st Quarter Award winner and she was the October Purple Pride Award winner.
Faith Vinson was the Junior Literature Student of the Year Award winner and she was the Thomas Edison Junior Science Student of the 2nd Quarter Award winner, plus the December Purple Pride Award winner.
Besides winning the Junior Science Student of the Year Award, Gabbie Roberts was also named the John Steinbeck Literature Student of the 1st Quarter Award winner and was the September Purple Pride Award winner.
Jeremy Choat, the Junior History Student of the Year Award winner, was also named the G.F. Bernhard Riemann Math Student of the 1st Quarter Award winner and was the September Purple Pride Award winner.
