ROE 45, or the Regional Office of Education serving Randolph and Monroe counties, has been especially active during the COVID-19 pandemic to help families in need, said Rebekah Hillerman, of the ROE's family literacy program.
On May 13 she was picking up nonperishables, meat and other items from the Chester Area Christian Food Pantry, but also stopping at the Randolph County Health Department and St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, all to help out seven of her client families.
Hillerman typically teaches Family Literacy classes, High School Equivalency classes, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.
