400 years of education in one space

Retired teachers from Washington School in Johnston City met last week for their holiday gathering at the home of Sue Tresnak in Herrin. Standing from left are Gary Clark, Linda Miles, Linda Young, Phyllis Jones, Pat Reid, Roger Kee, Cheryl Heberer. Seated from left are Tresnak, Don Kragness, Regina Sanders, Kathy Tolbert, and Cheryl Brasher. The teachers, who spent years working together in a close environment, have been meeting for the holidays for several years as a way to stay in touch. Together, this group boasts over four centuries of teaching experience.
