"Autumn Wonder," "Brain Freeze," "Pink Sky" and "Home" are just a few titles of stained glass artwork created by local students for last year's For Kids' Sake (FKS) Art Auction. These four pieces alone raised $265, enough to support an orphan in Bangladesh for nearly six months.

This November, local students can create their own stained glass masterpieces to support their peers in Bangladesh. Local students of all ages are invited to attend two FKS Stained Glass Workshops from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Dayemi Community Center, located at 218 N. Illinois Ave. in Carbondale.

Registration is free, and all materials and instruction are provided. Finished pieces will be considered donations to the 20th-annual FKS Art Auction. Accepted pieces will be custom-framed and hung at Longbranch Café and Bakery during the auction from March 10 to April 24, 2020. All proceeds will support orphans and students in Bangladesh.

Students can participate in one or both of the workshops. Space is limited; call 618-529-5044 to reserve a spot.
