DU QUOIN -- Meryn Gross delivered an RBI single Monday to lift the Du Quoin High School girls softball team to an exciting 4-3 home win over Anna-Jonesboro.
With the win, the Indians improve to 9-9 overall and are 2-2 in the Mississippi Division of the River to River Conference. Lexi Cobin got the start and picked up the win for Du Quoin.
Du Quoin was scheduled to play at Nashville Tuesday and at Carterville Thursday before returning home Monday against Pinckneyvile. All games are set for 4:30.
