Bell ringers drum up donations for Salvation Army

At left: Salvation Army bell ringer Missy Battles of Marion thanked donor Kathy Laird as she exited Marion's Sam's Club Saturday. When asked if that was her first time supporting the Army with a donation, she replied, "No, I give them something every year. They've almost become a part of the Christmas holiday season."
