A rural West Frankfort man was in the Franklin County Jail on Thursday, awaiting extradition to Missouri on six counts of child molestation, according to a news release from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies took 51-year-old Ronald Gene Newbold Jr. into custody without incident, the release said.
Newbold was wanted in St. Charles, Missouri on a warrant, charging six counts of molestation of a child or children under 14.
His bond was set at $150,000, cash only.
