A 14-year-old student was arrested Friday following an incident at Zeigler-Royalton Grade School.
Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones says in a press release that deputies took the juvenile into custody after responding to the school around 8:52 a.m. Feb. 23.
Jones says the student allegedly "threatened the safety of students and staff." The student was not armed or in possession of any kind of weapon.
The juvenile was taken into custody without incident and was taken to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.
